I know it was just my birthday and I’m in Australia and all, but if this were waiting for me when I got home, I’d be ok with it. More thank ok with it. WANT.
Honestly, I’d display that in my room at school and not feel lame at all.

Video I shot from my D5000 of the Red Bull Air Race earlier today. This is Matt Hall, the Australia pilot. This run earned him second place overall. The crowd was wild about that.
Musings
The ratio of roundabouts to stop signs in Australia is the inverse of the same ratio in the US. At least from my perspective.
People walk on the left here. I’ve run into three people so far.
It’s rained twice in two months. Not complaining.

I need some new websites to frequent
I have a lot of free time on my hands at night and nobody is up to talk to me because of the time difference. So i’ve been on the internet a lot, but I run out of content pretty easily.
What I check out the most:
Pitchfork, Tumblr (of course), Gizmodo, Kotaku, EW, CollegeHumor, AV Club, other assorted niche site like Fail Blog, Graphjam, Mugglenet, Macrumors, Strange Maps and xkcd.
So I...
My Ears Are Still Ringing From Last Night
Went out last night to The Court, a gay club with some friends. There was a drag show going on when we got there. It was a lot of fun, and a very interesting new experience for me. After it shut down around 2, we headed to The Paramount, the biggest club. It stays open much later than basically everywhere else. It was a blast. They had my fave beer on tap, and there was a rocking cover band...
I've been bumping the debut of Broken Bells
I gotta say, I love it. From the lo-fi beginning of The High Road, to the spiky guitar and chorus of The Mall and Misery, I love it. James Mercer from The Shins and Danger Mouse have created something that I enjoy even more than his last collaboration, Gnarls Barkley. No disrespect to Cee-Lo.
Pretty much all of the tracks have something that stand out about them to me, which is rare these...

Sheesh. Really. It’s bad enough that I have to listen to my professor blather on about gumbo. mmmm gumbo..
I’m headed to bed early tonight (midnight-ish) because I’m getting up really early (6:30ish) to go to the beach because I’m told that’s when it’s awesomest. I’m bringing my cameras to get some sweet shots and vids. I’m thinking that...
Training Days 3-6

Training Day 2
No not the sequel to an awesome movie.
Today was pretty much cut in half due to my weak body hurting from yesterday. Hopefully I’ll get used to actually utilizing my muscles in a couple days and I can regularly do 100 and 40. But for today…
